Prior to the hydrothermal treatment, all batches undergo a selection, cleaning and grading process of the grains, eliminating any presence of weed, stones, metallic particles or irregular grains. The parboliling or hydrothermal treatment begins with the soaking of the paddy in hot water in a pressurized deposit, to afterwards undergo a parboiling process, properly speaking, in a rotating pressurized cooker where the adequate degree of gellification of the grain's starch is obtained: subsequently, it is dried inside the own autoclave by a simultaneous processing of vacuum and heat, before passing to tempering bins prior to its milling. This process provides the special culinary and nutritional qualities and properties of the parboiled rice, that has an increasing demand by the consumer market. This process also ensure the elimination and inactivation of any type of fungi, larvae, germs, spores, etc.
